CAMPAIGN
PROJECT LINUS
I began my internship with Philadelphia creative agency, AB&C in the spring of 2023. I worked as a graphic designer, creative intern, and junior art director under my Art Director and Copywriter. In the fall of 2023, I was tasked with creating the agency’s holiday card. In the past, the agency liked to give back to the local community and encourage their clients to take part in an act of kindness. For this year’s holiday campaign I wanted to support a cause that I thought would touch the hearts of many. Project Linus is an organization that provides handmade blankets to children 0-18 all over the United States who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. Their name pays homage to the beloved character Linus, from Charlie Brown who is always seen carrying his precious blanket. Being that Charlie Brown and the peanuts have become such well known characters, especially around the holidays, what better a cause and name to support.
As well as support a good cause, AB&C wanted to emulate what they are all about to those who are not familiar with their work. Much like a quilt, AB&C is made up of different people who all come together to create a bigger story. They work as a full-service agency, helping clients in all industries and verticals. Their experience ranges from brand building, market research, interactive design, media planning, public relations, social media, motion graphics & animations, diversity & inclusion, and that’s just to name a few. A quilt seemed like the perfect way to show how all the different talents and experiences of the agency make up a bigger driving message.
The final campaign was a takeover of the AB&C homepage. The agency sent out a message to it’s clients that they would be donating money in their name to Project Linus and were asked to take part in creating a digital quilt. The more users that added a quilt square, the larger the quilt became and the more money donated to Project Linus. Users could choose which quilt square they wanted and had the option of added their name or company to the tile. They were also encouraged to “share a square” on social media to show followers on their platforms they were in support of Project Linus and AB&C. Each share resulted in one dollar donated to Project Linus.
This campaign was very rewarding and I am so glad to say that I was the Art Director behind this campaign. Throughout the project I worked with Creative Directors, Copywriters, other Art Directors, Animators, and Tech teams who specialized in coding. Without any of those people, I would not have been able to execute this campaign so I want to thank them for their time, feedback, and support.
